How Hearing Loss Affects the Brain

Family Hearing is proud to host a discussion with Anu Sharma, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Speech Language and Hearing Science, Institute for Cognitive Science and Center for Neuroscience at University of Colorado. Dr. Sharma will share her research regarding cognitive, social-emotional, and neurophysiological changes in the brain that are associated with hearing loss and the effects of treatment with hearing technology. She has over 75 scientific publications and she has given keynote address in her research at many international conferences including the American Academy if Audiology, British Academy of Audiology and British Society of Audiology. Her research is funded by the United States National Institutes of Health.
