POSTPONED: Education Summit: Building Broomfield’s Employer Talent Pipeline

NOTE: This event has been postponed. Check back soon for rescheduling information.

Finding, developing, and retaining great employees continues to be one of the biggest challenges facing businesses today. The Broomfield Area Chamber’s Education Summit is designed to help employers better understand the local talent pipeline—and, more importantly, connect them with practical resources they can use to strengthen it.

This interactive morning will bring together employers, education partners, workforce experts, and community organizations for a focused conversation about what the workforce landscape looks like today and what businesses can do to prepare for the future.

Attendees will hear from local experts on current workforce trends, high-demand industries and skills, and the resources available to help businesses recruit, train, and develop talent. The Summit will also explore opportunities including internships, student engagement, apprenticeships, work-based learning, inclusive hiring, and workforce support programs.

The morning will include presentations, panel conversations, and hands-on Employer Action Labs, giving attendees the opportunity to choose the workforce topic most relevant to their organization and work directly with subject-matter experts.

Topics will include:

• Local Workforce Outlook: What current labor market trends mean for Broomfield-area employers
• Understanding the Talent Pipeline: Connecting employers with education, workforce, and business resources
• Apprenticeships & Work-Based Learning: How employers can develop talent while building their business
• Expanding Your Talent Pool: Reaching qualified candidates through more inclusive hiring strategies
• Employer Action Labs: Small-group conversations focused on internships and student engagement, apprenticeship readiness, inclusive hiring, and workforce/business support

Our goal is for every employer to leave with more than information. Attendees will begin developing a 90-Day Talent Pipeline Action Plan so they leave knowing who to contact, what resources are available, and what next step they can take within their own organization.

Whether you are struggling to fill open positions, looking to develop future employees, interested in apprenticeships or internships, or simply want to better understand the workforce resources available to your business, this Summit is designed to give you practical ideas and valuable connections.
