Spanish Bilingual Nonviolence Elementary Educator, 20 Hrs/Wk
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and implement an institutionalized interpersonal violence-prevention curriculum within the elementary schools of the Boulder Valley School District. Focus on the issues of family and societal violence. Promote gender, racial and economic equity through community advocacy.
DUTIES:
-Present classroom curriculum in English and Spanish to elementary students, parents, school staff and community.
-Update exercises and culturally relevant educational materials as needed.
-Act as a community organizer and collaborator with diverse groups that include parents, teachers, and school-based personnel.
-Collaborate with other SPAN programs to provide comprehensive services to children, families and communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-B.A. degree in human services or equivalent experience.
-Bilingual Spanish required.
-Knowledge/experience in advocating for & teaching children.
-Experience in curriculum development, social justice education, and community activism.
-Knowledge of social justice issues, especially anti-oppression and prevention of violence against women.
-Knowledge of domestic violence and bullying, and of race, class, and sexual orientation issues.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
