About the Role

The Broomfield Chamber of Commerce is seeking a relationship-driven, results-oriented Director of Membership to lead the growth and engagement of our member community.

This is a highly visible role focused on driving new member acquisition, strengthening retention, and ensuring members are actively engaged and seeing real value. You’ll be out in the community, building relationships, creating connections, and helping businesses plug into the Chamber in meaningful ways.

What You’ll Own

Membership Growth (Sales & Prospecting)

  • Identify, engage, and convert prospective members through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Follow up with event guests, inbound inquiries, and warm leads
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline to meet or exceed membership goals
  • Represent the Chamber with professionalism and visibility in the business community

Member Retention & Engagement

  • Develop and execute strategies that drive strong member retention and satisfaction
  • Build ongoing relationships through consistent, meaningful touchpoints
  • Partner with the CEO to refine and strengthen the member experience
  • Ensure members understand and utilize the full value of their membership

Programs & Member Experience

  • Lead new member orientations (Chamber U) and promote benefit utilization
  • Manage Leads Groups and the Power Partners Program, including supporting existing groups and launching new ones as needed
  • Coordinate and host Ribbon Cuttings as a key member milestone and engagement tool
  • Identify opportunities to deepen member connection and participation across programs

Data, Reporting & Accountability

  • Track and report on key membership metrics (new, renewals, retention, pipeline)
  • Maintain accurate CRM data (ChamberMaster) and reporting
  • Provide regular updates to staff, CEO, and Board on membership performance
  • Use data to inform strategy and improve outcomes

Team & Organizational Impact

  • Serve as a key member of a small, collaborative team
  • Attend and actively participate in Chamber events and signature programs
  • Support sponsorship development in coordination with the Events team
  • Contribute where needed to support overall organizational success

What You Bring

  • 2–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, membership, or relationship management
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a natural ability to connect with others
  • Excellent communication skills across in-person, phone, and written formats
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work toward goals and metrics
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with CRM systems (or ability to learn quickly; ChamberMaster a plus)
  • Team-oriented approach with a positive, professional presence

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in a chamber, association, nonprofit, or community-based organization
  • Experience working with volunteers or member-driven programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Must reside in the Denver metro area
  • Ability to attend events outside of typical business hours (early mornings, evenings, occasional weekends)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (event setup)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Salary: $50,000-$55,000 per year (based on experience)
