Americans with Disabilities Act Employment Rights for Job Seekers

In this course, participants will learn the prevalence of disability and why access matters. We’ll cover the fundamentals of Title I of the ADA, the definition of disability and employee rights under the ADA, to include requesting a reasonable accommodation and the interactive process. Participants will learn when and how to disclose a disability and what to expect from employers after making a reasonable accommodation request. Finally, we will discuss what to do if an employer fails to accommodate a disability, and resources that are available for advocacy and enforcement.
