The Broomfield Area Chamber is delighted to partner with the City and County of Broomfield to bring the community together for the annual Great American Picnic Beer Garden. This local tradition offers a fantastic opportunity for residents to enjoy community spirit and festivities in Broomfield.
The Broomfield Chamber is seeking volunteers to help make this year's Great American Picnic BEER GARDEN a success! By volunteering your time to assist with selling tickets and checking IDs, and monitoring the exit, you'll play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the event. As a special thank you for your valuable contribution, all volunteers will receive one free ticket to Bites and Brews on July 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.! This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy another fantastic local event hosted by the Broomfield Chamber. After your volunteer shift, you can also relax and enjoy the spectacular fireworks display in the Beer Garden of The Great American Picnic, providing a perfect chance to connect with your community and network with fellow Broomfield Chamber members.

The Great American Picnic will be held at the
Broomfield County Commons. Here's the important parking information:
Parking:
- The Broomfield County Commons: Very limited parking is available. Accessible parking is located in the Commons west parking lot. If parking on Broomfield County Commons Road, please park on the south side of the street only. RV’s, Campers, trailers or other extra-large vehicles will ONLY be allowed to park in the Legacy High School parking lots.
- Legacy High School: Ample parking is available at Legacy High School. A shuttle service to and from the Broomfield County Commons will be provided, running from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. Please meet at the Gazebo at Legacy High School to take the shuttle to the Commons.
- The City and County of Broomfield encourages carpooling to help the environment and ease traffic congestion.
Fireworks Lighting System and Weather Notifications:
Weather conditions can affect the fireworks display. Stay informed through these channels:
- Public Address System: Announcements about delays or cancellations will be made over the PA system at the event.
- Social Media: Check official social media for updates.
- Stop Lights: Lights near the fireworks firing area will indicate the status:
- Green: Show is a go.
- Yellow: Holding pattern.
- Red: Fireworks show is cancelled due to weather.
- There is no rain date for the fireworks.

Event Restrictions:
For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, the following items are
not allowed in the park:
- Glass bottles or containers
- Open fires
- Charcoal Grills (Propane grills are allowed, but not on artificial turf fields.)
- No fireworks are allowed in the park
Lost and Found:
All items found during the event will be turned into the concessions garage. After the event, remaining items will be moved to the
Paul Derda Recreation Center (13201 Lowell Blvd, Broomfield, CO).
Safety:
The Broomfield Police Department will be on-site to ensure everyone's safety. Please remember the following regarding fireworks in Broomfield:
- Most fireworks are illegal in the City and County of Broomfield. Any device that explodes or leaves the ground on its own power is ILLEGAL.
- Violators may face a minimum fine of $100 up to $1,000.
- LEGAL fireworks include:
- Toy Caps
- Sparklers
- Trick Noisemakers
- Toy Smoke Devices
- For everyone's safety, the Broomfield Police Department and the North Metro Fire Rescue District strongly recommend leaving fireworks to the professionals. More information is available on the Fireworks Information web page.
